Bonney Lake, Washington was originally a stop on the Naches Trail, a former Indian path and shortcut from the Oregon Territory to Western Washington. The first wagon train passed through the area in 1853. And in 1855, the Puget Sound Indian War began on Connell’s Prairie in what is now the Bonney Lake area.
Today, Bonney Lake is the 58th most populous city in Washington state, having over 17,000 residents in 5,400 houselholds. That’s a lot of carpets to be cleaned!
Lake Tapps is actually the predominant lake adjoining the city of Bonney Lake. Whereas Lake Tapps is rather large and can accomodate power boats, wakeboarding, and water skiing, Lake Bonney is a small lake, only suitable for small boats without combustion engines.
